Duties
- Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and feeding to promote comfort and independence
- Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature; document findings accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner
- Provide specialized care for individuals with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or memory impairments through tailored activities and compassionate engagement
- Operate patient lifts such as Hoyer lifts safely to prevent injury during transfers and mobility assistance.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation adhering to HIPAA regulations and ensuring confidentiality of patient records
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or relevant homemaker credentials with active licensure where applicable
- Experience working in healthcare environments such as hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care settings.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS) procedures
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks or similar platforms for accurate documentation
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations including seniors, or behavioral health needs.
- Strong communication skills paired with a caring attitude focused on patient service and safety
