Janitor/Cleaner

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor/Cleaner to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning tasks in commercial settings to ensure a hygienic and well-maintained environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in cleaning small offices with a strong commitment to quality and efficiency.

Schedule

• Evening/Night shifts after business hours
• Typically 2–4 hours per shift
• 2–5 evenings per week depending on location
• Consistent, recurring accounts (not on-call)

Responsibilities

• Empty trash and replace liners
• Dust desks, surfaces, and common areas
• Vacuum carpets and clean hard floors
• Clean and sanitize restrooms
• Clean breakrooms/kitchenettes
• Wipe high-touch surfaces (door handles, light switches, etc.)
• Secure premises after cleaning

Compensation

• $17–$25 per hour, depending on experience and assignment
• Paid per job or per visit
• Consistent, recurring work available

Contractors are paid weekly or bi-weekly (depending on agreement).

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• Reliable transportation
• Smartphone (for communication and reporting)
• Ability to pass a background check
• Previous janitorial or commercial cleaning experience preferred
• Must be dependable and detail-oriented

Independent Contractor Status

This position is a 1099 independent contractor role, not an employee position. Contractors are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and equipment unless otherwise agreed in writing.
