MAU is hiring a Quality Inspector for our client in Greenville, SC.
As a
Quality Inspector
, you will perform visual and manual inspections of gas turbines during and after assembly to ensure compliance with engineering documentation and quality standards.
This is a contract position with direct hire potential.

Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in quality inspection, preferably in a manufacturing or mechanical assembly environment
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Technical training or certification in quality inspection or mechanical assembly
General Requirements:
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Familiarity with mechanical components, part identification, and torque/fastening methods
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team
- Basic computer literacy for data entry and documentation
Essential Functions:
- Perform visual inspections of gas turbine assemblies to verify proper component and fastener installation
- Review and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation to ensure compliance with specifications
- Verify part numbers and assembly sequences throughout production stages
- Conduct follow-up inspections behind assembly teams, especially where internal "due checks" are insufficient
- Perform random sampling of incoming, in-process, and final products to confirm quality compliance
- Inspect product quality after changeovers to ensure alignment with specifications
- Document inspection results accurately using designated check sheets or logs
- Initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) when defects or deviations are found, ensuring traceability
- Collaborate with production and quality teams on containment, follow-up, and resolution of quality issues
- Monitor products on hold and coordinate timely material disposition across teams
Working Conditions:
- Approximately 95% of time spent on the shop floor
- Inspections are primarily manual and visual; a laptop may or may not be issued
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment requiring standing and movement throughout the shift
