We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic leader to oversee data analytics, KPIs, and visualizations across multiple systems. This role will be responsible for driving data-driven decision-making, ensuring accuracy and consistency of reporting, and delivering actionable insights that support both operational execution and long-term strategic goals.
NearU is a people-centric, process-driven, and technology-enabled customer service platform dedicated to revolutionizing the home services industry by vastly improving the customer and employee experience.
This position is based in Charlotte, NC, with a hybrid schedule of 4 days in office and Friday remote. The Manager of Data Analytics will report directly to the Director of IT and work in close alignment with the IT organization to ensure seamless integration of data and technology strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy
- Define and execute the organization's data analytics and reporting strategy in partnership with the CFO and IT leadership.
- Lead a cross-functional analytics team responsible for reporting, dashboards, KPIs, and business insights.
- Establish governance standards for data quality, integrity, and consistency across multiple systems (ERP, CRM, HRIS, Finance, Operations, etc.).
- Data Analytics & KPIs
- Partner with executives and business unit leaders to define key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with business objectives.
- Build scalable reporting frameworks that deliver timely and accurate insights.
- Develop forecasting models, trend analyses, and performance dashboards for strategic and operational decision-making.
Visualization & Reporting
- Lead the development of executive and operational dashboards in Power BI (and other BI platforms as required).
- Ensure dashboards and reports are intuitive, actionable, and tailored to diverse stakeholders.
- Translate complex data into concise narratives for senior leadership.
System Integration & Data Architecture
- Collaborate with IT and system owners to integrate data across multiple platforms into a centralized analytics environment (data warehouse / lakehouse).
- Partner with DataOps / Engineering teams on ETL/ELT pipelines, automation, and data modeling.
- Ensure compliance, security, and proper access controls for sensitive data.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the primary analytics liaison between Finance, Operations, and IT.
- Provide insights to support M&A integration, digital transformation, and business optimization initiatives.
- Coach leaders and business teams on how to interpret and apply analytics effectively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Finance, or related field (Master's preferred).
- 7–10+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or reporting strategy, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Expertise in BI/visualization platforms (Power BI preferred, Tableau, or Qlik).
- Strong background in SQL, data modeling, and integration across multiple systems.
- Proven track record of defining and communicating KPIs at the executive level.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to translate data into business insights.
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with Finance and IT.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Synapse, Redshift, Databricks).
- Familiarity with ETL/ELT and pipeline tools (Fivetran, dbt, Azure Data Factory, Informatica).
- Knowledge of predictive analytics, AI/ML, and advanced statistical modeling.
- Experience in high-growth, multi-entity organizations or M&A environments.
