You will be responsible for verifying shipments, inspecting for damage, documenting received items, and coordinating with vendors and internal departments. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Verify the accuracy of incoming goods against purchase orders and shipping manifests.
- Inspect all incoming merchandise for damage, shortages, or discrepancies.
- Document all received items accurately using our inventory management system.
- Label and tag incoming inventory for proper storage and tracking.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to resolve any shipping discrepancies.
- Communicate with internal departments to ensure timely distribution of received goods.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed to support overall logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receiving, warehouse, or logistics role is preferred.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and basic computer skills.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving documentation.
