Key Experience
- Minimum 10 years of piping engineering experience
- Experience in heavy industrial pipe design for water systems
- Design experience with supported and underground piping systems
- Familiarity with piping codes, standards, and best practices
- Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams on industrial projects
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements
- Perform detailed piping engineering functions to deliver high-quality, constructible designs
- Develop piping layouts, isometrics, material specifications, and support documentation
- Collaborate with engineers, operations, and project teams to meet design criteria, constructability, and operational requirements
- Support the development of cost estimates and project schedules and adhere to approved budgets and timelines
- Manage project scope, design, and execution plans to minimize changes, applying change control procedures when necessary
- Ensure engineering work aligns with safety, environmental, operability, efficiency, and maintainability standards
Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng) registered with APEGA in Mechanical, Civil, or related discipline
- Minimum 10 years of relevant piping design experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced industrial environment
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
