About the Role

Reporting to the Director, Spirits the Assistant Category Manager supports managing multiple beverage categories, including Spirits, Beer, Ready-to-Drink, Non-Alcohol, and Accessories, across 4 store banners in three provinces. This role focuses on tactical execution, data accuracy, vendor coordination, and compliance, ensuring smooth operations and timely delivery of category strategies.

Key Responsibilities

· Inventory Management: Compile warehouse distribution needs, prepare weekly LTO buy sheets, track inventory movement and flag low/high stock.

· Promotions: Populate flyer offer sheets and feature planners, collect post-promotion performance data, track Private LTOs and coordinate invoicing.

· Category Management: Process new item forms, update product database, track delists, organize vendor submissions and maintain category review timelines.

· Pricing: Submit approved pricing adjustments, monitor cost changes, prepare margin reports.

· Projects & Compliance: Support timelines for business development initiatives, maintain compliance documentation, assist with eCommerce and loyalty programs.

Qualifications

· Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, or related field.

· Minimum 2 years of experience in retail category management, merchandising, finance, or procurement.

· Strong analytical and organizational skills; proficiency in Excel and data management tools.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
