Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice.

Willing to train the right candidate.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, providing exceptional patient service, and supporting the administrative functions of the office. This role requires excellent communication skills, familiarity with dental and medical office procedures, and proficiency with electronic health records systems. The Dental Receptionist plays a vital role in ensuring smooth daily operations and a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and efficiently check them in and out using electronic medical records systems such as Dentrix and Epic.
  • Schedule appointments, confirm upcoming visits, and manage appointment changes to optimize daily patient flow.
  • Answer multi-line phone systems promptly, professionally, and courteously, directing calls as needed.
  • Verify patient insurance information and process billing or payments accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, update demographic information, and ensure confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Assist with administrative tasks including filing, faxing, scanning documents, and managing correspondence.
  • Support the dental team by preparing treatment rooms and ensuring necessary supplies are available.
  • Handle patient inquiries regarding services, billing, or scheduling with professionalism and empathy.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency with dental software such as Dentrix; familiarity with Epic is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical records management.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in data entry and record keeping.
  • Ability to operate multi-line phone systems efficiently while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
  • Office experience demonstrating strong administrative skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
  • Knowledge of front desk procedures within dental or medical offices is highly desirable. This position offers an opportunity to be part of a dedicated healthcare team committed to providing outstanding patient care in a professional setting.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
