Job Overview

GrizzlyTrek is currently seeking a Supplier Quality Coordinator to work in daily collaboration with Montreal-based shops and warehouses, while also supporting external supplier quality activities related to work performed in Montreal for the Aero-Derivative Gas Turbine (AGT) product line.

This role has a direct, hands-on impact on the production floor, balancing shop-level quality support with supplier quality management and back-office coordination. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving corrective actions, reducing quality risk, and improving supplier performance.


Key Responsibilities

Production & Supplier Quality Support

  • Support daily production quality issues within Montreal shops and warehouses

  • Interface with external suppliers on quality concerns related to AGT components and services

  • Track non-conformances, corrective actions, and supplier performance metrics

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, procurement, and quality teams

Non-Conformance & Corrective Action Management

  • Ensure accurate failure recording and accept/reject notifications in accordance with the Non-Conforming Process

  • Submit supplier complaints and ensure effective containment actions internally (all plants) and externally (customers and suppliers)

  • Ensure suppliers provide complete and thorough root cause analysis for failures

  • Drive sustainable corrective and preventive actions focused on long-term risk reduction

  • Monitor corrective actions and parts disposition through MRB

  • Ensure correct recording of non-conformance costs, including consequential costs, to the failure origin

  • Analyze supplier failures to identify trends and recurring issues


Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical, Materials, Industrial Engineering, or a related field

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience

  • Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Strong working knowledge of quality methodologies (5 Why, FMEA, 8D, RCA)

  • Solid understanding of quality system requirements

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to drive actions to completion

  • Clear and effective communication skills to ensure understanding and execution

  • Ability to perform under pressure and adapt to changing priorities

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work autonomously

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
