As an Order Picker, you will navigate our warehouse using scanning technology and pick lists to retrieve the correct items for shipment. Your tasks will include verifying product details, quantities, and ensuring items are handled with care. We are committed to providing a safe working environment, and adherence to all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE, is mandatory. This position requires physical activity, including significant walking and repetitive lifting. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products based on order forms and scanning equipment.
- Verify item codes, descriptions, and quantities before picking.
- Transport picked items to the packing or staging area.
- Maintain organized and clean work areas.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and utilize provided PPE.
- Perform repetitive lifting of items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment as instructed.
- Contribute to inventory accuracy through diligent picking.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily order fulfillment targets.
- Report any issues with inventory, equipment, or safety to supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience as an order picker or in a warehouse setting is advantageous.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Understanding of warehouse safety standards, including the use of PPE.
- Basic math skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Proficiency with handheld scanners.
- Demonstrated ability to perform required lifting tasks safely.
