We are hiring a Material Handler for our Houston, Texas location. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient movement and organization of materials within our warehouse, playing a key part in our overall **logistics** and supply chain operations. Your duties will include loading and unloading materials, transporting them to designated areas, and ensuring inventory is stored safely and correctly. This position requires physical strength and stamina, as frequent **lifting** is a core component of the job. We are dedicated to maintaining a **Safety**-first environment and provide all necessary **PPE** to our employees. The ideal candidate is reliable, hardworking, and possesses a strong understanding of warehouse **Safety** practices. Experience with pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
- Organize and stack materials in designated locations, ensuring stability and **Safety**.
- Perform regular **lifting** of materials, often exceeding 50 lbs.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock checks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all **Safety** guidelines and wear required **PPE**.
- Report any **Safety** hazards or damaged materials immediately.
- Support the broader **logistics** team to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Physical ability to perform demanding tasks, including frequent **lifting** and carrying.
- Understanding of warehouse **logistics** and material handling principles.
- Commitment to **Safety** protocols and proper use of **PPE**.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
