We are hiring an experienced Forklift Operator for our busy Atlanta, Georgia warehouse. This position is crucial for the efficient movement of goods within our logistics facility. You will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload materials. A strong understanding of warehouse operations, safety procedures, and efficient logistics practices is required. Maintaining a safe working environment is paramount, and you must adhere to all company safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). This role involves significant physical activity, including frequent lifting and maneuvering of materials. Attention to detail and a commitment to safe operation are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Stack and stage materials in designated warehouse areas.
- Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance of forklifts.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including PPE requirements.
- Support overall warehouse logistics and operational goals.
- Handle lifting and movement of goods weighing up to 60 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and maneuvering.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to use required PPE.
- Understanding of logistics operations.
