You will be responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, managing inventory levels, optimizing warehouse layout, and implementing operational improvements. Strong leadership and problem-solving skills are essential. This position requires a thorough understanding of warehouse management best practices, safety protocols, and supply chain logistics. You will ensure adherence to safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE, and supervise activities that involve significant lifting and material handling. Effective communication and coordination with various departments are vital.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities.
- Manage inbound and outbound logistics operations.
- Oversee inventory management and stock control.
- Develop and implement warehouse process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and PPE requirements.
- Train and mentor warehouse staff.
- Manage equipment maintenance and warehouse facility upkeep.
- Analyze operational data to improve efficiency.
- Direct teams in tasks involving frequent lifting and material movement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in warehouse management or coordination.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and supply chain.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment, including strict adherence to PPE usage.
- Ability to manage tasks requiring significant physical exertion, including heavy lifting.
