We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Material Handler to join our dynamic warehouse team in Boston, Massachusetts. This role is crucial for the efficient flow of goods within our distribution center. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, picking, and preparing materials for shipment. Your primary focus will be on ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to all safety protocols. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to grow within the logistics industry.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to move, stack, and sort materials.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods.
- Accurately pick and pack orders according to customer specifications and shipping schedules.
- Perform regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counting to maintain stock accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all housekeeping standards.
- Follow all established safety procedures and regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, contributing to the overall efficiency of the operations.
- Be comfortable with lifting objects up to 50 pounds regularly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred.
- Ability to operate various types of warehouse machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the proper use of PPE.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks including consistent lifting.
