Are you an experienced and certified Forklift Operator? We have an immediate opening for a skilled individual to join our busy warehouse in New York City, New York. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. You will play a key part in the efficient flow of our logistics operations, ensuring materials are moved accurately and safely to their designated areas. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a strong commitment to Safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Your expertise in operating various types of forklifts is essential for maintaining our high standards in product handling and logistics. Proper use of PPE and awareness of Lifting hazards are critical.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, electric) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and into warehouse storage areas.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and other items within the warehouse.
- Accurately stack and store materials in designated locations.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Support overall logistics and warehouse operations as needed.
Qualifications:
- Valid Forklift Operator certification (e.g., OSHA certification).
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 60 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures.
- Must be attentive to detail and possess good spatial awareness.
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to using PPE and following all Safety protocols is mandatory.
