We have an exciting opportunity for a Material Handler at our state-of-the-art logistics hub in Huntsville, Alabama. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse, supporting both receiving and shipping operations. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to Safety. You will handle a variety of materials, ensuring they are moved, stored, and prepared for onward logistics chains accurately and safely. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload goods from trucks and containers.
- Stage materials for production, order fulfillment, or shipping.
- Ensure accurate identification and tracking of all materials handled.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, free from obstructions and hazards.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Perform routine checks on material handling equipment and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory management tasks as required.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.
- Support efficient logistics operations by ensuring materials are readily available.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience as a material handler or in a warehouse environment is highly desirable. Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly. Excellent knowledge of material handling equipment operation. Strong understanding of warehouse Safety protocols. Familiarity with logistics and supply chain processes. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions accurately. A dedication to Safety is paramount.
