We are hiring a dedicated Shipping Clerk to support our logistics operations in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The Shipping Clerk will play a key role in preparing outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy, and coordinating with carriers. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent organizational abilities, and a strong commitment to Safety. You will be responsible for processing orders, packaging items securely, and generating shipping labels and documentation. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare outgoing shipments by accurately picking, packing, and labeling orders.
- Verify order accuracy against shipping documents to ensure correct items and quantities are dispatched.
- Select appropriate packaging materials to ensure product integrity during transit.
- Operate shipping equipment such as tape guns, box sealers, and scales.
- Generate shipping labels and necessary documentation for various carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, LTL).
- Coordinate with carriers for pickup schedules and ensure timely departures.
- Maintain an organized and clean shipping area, adhering to all Safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory management and stock counts as needed.
- Communicate with internal teams (sales, customer service) regarding shipping status and any issues.
- Ensure all required PPE is worn correctly and consistently.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a shipping or warehouse environment is preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. Familiarity with shipping software and carrier portals is a plus. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to Safety. This role is crucial for our efficient logistics operations.
