Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all outgoing shipments are accurately picked, packed, labeled, and dispatched according to schedule. You will be instrumental in verifying order accuracy, preparing shipping documentation, and coordinating with carriers to facilitate timely deliveries. This role is crucial for maintaining customer satisfaction and the overall efficiency of our warehouse operations. The job involves physical tasks such as lifting boxes, standing for extended periods, and moving packages. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and pack orders for shipment.
- Verify order details against shipping manifests.
- Prepare shipping labels and necessary documentation (e.g., bills of lading).
- Operate shipping software and systems.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for pick-ups and deliveries.
- Inspect outgoing goods for quality and accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory tasks as needed.
- Handle tasks involving lifting and moving packages of varying weights.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a shipping or warehouse environment is advantageous.
- Familiarity with shipping software and carrier platforms.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail to ensure order accuracy.
- Understanding of logistics processes.
- Commitment to workplace safety and use of PPE.
