We are seeking a meticulous and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic warehouse team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role is critical to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory, ensuring smooth warehouse operations, and supporting our overall logistics network. As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management, from receiving to dispatch. You will conduct regular cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and implement procedures to minimize stock errors and losses. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to upholding high standards of accuracy. You will work closely with warehouse supervisors, receivers, and shipping personnel to ensure efficient material flow and real-time inventory updates. A strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) is highly preferred. You will be expected to operate various warehouse equipment safely and efficiently to conduct counts and relocate items as needed. Adherence to all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock levels.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures.
- Coordinate with receiving and shipping departments to ensure accurate stock movement.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of all inventory items.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including proper Lifting techniques.
- Operate warehouse equipment as needed, following all safety protocols.
- Report any damages or issues with inventory to management.
The ideal candidate will have experience in inventory management, possess excellent problem-solving abilities, and demonstrate a proactive approach to tasks.
