We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Richmond, Virginia. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual to contribute to the efficient operation of our warehouse. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. You will also be responsible for accurately completing all necessary paperwork and logs related to forklift operations and inventory. Your primary goal will be to ensure the safe and timely movement of goods within the facility, maintaining organized storage areas and supporting overall warehouse efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) to move pallets, materials, and products within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers with accuracy and care.
- Perform routine checks on forklift equipment to ensure it is in good working order and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Assist with inventory control by accurately counting and recording materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Support other warehouse operations as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including Lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Contribute to a culture of Safety and efficiency within the Logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Strong understanding of Safety protocols and the importance of wearing PPE .
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Must be able to handle repetitive tasks and constant Lifting .
- Experience in a fast-paced Logistics environment is a plus.
