We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Picker/Packer associates to join our dynamic team in Kansas City, Missouri. As a Picker/Packer, you will play a crucial role in our logistics operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently fulfilled. Your primary responsibilities will include picking items from warehouse shelves based on order specifications, accurately packing items into appropriate shipping containers, and preparing them for shipment. This position requires a keen eye for detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a strong commitment to safety protocols. You will be expected to meet established performance metrics for picking and packing accuracy and speed. This role involves significant Lifting of packages and requires stamina and physical dexterity.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Inspect picked items for quality and accuracy.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into designated boxes or containers.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for transit.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, especially concerning Safety .
- Contribute to inventory management by accurately reporting discrepancies.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily fulfillment goals.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment as needed (training provided).
- Understand and follow instructions for order fulfillment and shipping protocols in our Logistics hub.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse or order fulfillment experience is a plus.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Proficiency in basic math and reading comprehension.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to wear required PPE , including safety vests and gloves.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety regulations.
