We are looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Kansas City, Missouri. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials within our warehouse. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move, load, unload, and stack merchandise.
- Conduct pre-shift equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs.
- Transport materials between different areas of the warehouse, including receiving, storage, and shipping.
- Verify product identification and counts, ensuring accuracy in material handling.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, ensuring clear pathways and safe stacking of goods.
- Follow all company safety protocols, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in inventory counts and assist with stock rotation.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient logistics and workflow.
- Adhere to all traffic rules and regulations within the warehouse environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current and valid forklift operator certification.
- Demonstrated experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse safety standards and procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial reasoning.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
