Join our team in Tampa, Florida, as an Inventory Control Specialist, a critical role responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. In this position, you will be at the forefront of ensuring our stock levels are precise, which is vital for seamless logistics and customer satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions to maintain optimal inventory accuracy. You will utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movements, manage stock locations, and generate reports on inventory status. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently. You will also be involved in receiving and put-away processes, ensuring items are correctly identified and stored. Safety is paramount in our warehouse, and you will be expected to follow all safety procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and to promote a culture of safety among your colleagues. While this role may involve some moderate lifting (up to 40 pounds) and general warehouse tasks, its primary focus is on data accuracy and process improvement. Previous experience in inventory control, warehousing, or logistics is highly preferred. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Manage stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) and ensure product shelf life compliance.
- Oversee put-away process to ensure items are stored in correct locations.
- Generate inventory reports and analyze stock levels.
- Identify and recommend process improvements for inventory control.
- Assist in receiving and verifying incoming shipments.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of PPE and safe lifting techniques.
- Support logistics operations by ensuring inventory availability.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy in all inventory-related tasks.
