Join our dedicated team in Dallas, Texas, as an Inventory Control Specialist. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your duties will include conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing measures to improve inventory accuracy. You will utilize our Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track stock levels, monitor item movements, and generate reports. A sharp eye for detail and a systematic approach are crucial for success in this position. You will work closely with the receiving and shipping departments to ensure that all inventory transactions are recorded correctly. Compliance with all safety procedures and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is essential in our warehouse environment. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent organizational abilities, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Familiarity with inventory control principles and logistics operations is highly valued. You will play a key role in optimizing warehouse efficiency and reducing operational costs through accurate inventory management. This position may involve some lifting and movement of goods. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Monitor stock levels and identify slow-moving or obsolete items.
- Implement inventory control procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Process inventory adjustments and transfers.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure proper handling of goods.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and use required PPE.
- Generate inventory reports for management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse operations.
- Proficiency with WMS software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Knowledge of inventory management best practices and logistics.
- Ability to perform physical tasks as needed, including lifting.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
