We are looking for a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team in Atlanta, Georgia. This role is vital for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are accurate, timely, and properly documented. You will play a key part in our supply chain operations, coordinating with various departments to facilitate smooth departures. Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping labels, packing slips, and other shipping documentation.
- Verify the accuracy of orders being shipped against packing lists and invoices.
- Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Track shipments and provide updates to relevant parties.
- Communicate with warehouse staff to ensure orders are picked and packed correctly.
- Inspect outgoing goods for damage or defects before shipment.
- Maintain organized shipping records and filing systems.
- Assist with receiving duties as needed.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics process.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a shipping clerk or in a related logistics role is preferred.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and computer systems.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Familiarity with different shipping methods and carrier requirements.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the proper use of PPE.
