We are seeking experienced and certified Forklift Operators to join our busy logistics facility in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move materials around the warehouse, load and unload trucks, and assist with inventory management. Safety is our top priority, and all operators must strictly adhere to company safety policies and use appropriate PPE. This position requires precision, efficiency, and a deep understanding of warehouse operations. You will be crucial in ensuring the smooth flow of goods within our distribution center, supporting both inbound and outbound logistics. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe forklift operation, excellent spatial awareness, and the ability to perform physical tasks when necessary, including lifting. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers.
- Transport goods to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform routine checks on forklift equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock placement.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and utilize required PPE.
- Follow all logistics procedures for material handling.
- Perform manual lifting and palletizing as needed.
- Work collaboratively with other warehouse staff.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA compliant).
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety best practices and procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of logistics and material flow.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial reasoning.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to wearing all necessary PPE, including safety shoes and vests.
