We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator for our Orlando, Florida facility. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout the warehouse. This role is critical to our **logistics** operations, ensuring the timely movement of goods and maintaining an organized flow of inventory. You will operate various types of forklifts, load and unload trucks, and transport materials to designated storage areas. A strong emphasis is placed on **Safety** protocols and proper equipment handling. You will be required to wear specific **PPE** and adhere to all company **Safety** guidelines. The ability to perform frequent **lifting** (in conjunction with forklift use) and maintain awareness of your surroundings is essential. The ideal candidate is reliable, possesses excellent attention to detail, and has a valid forklift certification. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Inspect forklifts before and after use, reporting any issues.
- Transport materials from receiving to storage areas and from storage to shipping.
- Accurately pick and stage orders for shipment using a forklift.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring aisles are clear.
- Adhere strictly to all **Safety** regulations and **PPE** requirements.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock placement as needed.
- Ensure proper handling of products to prevent damage.
- Participate in team efforts to improve **logistics** efficiency and workflow.
- Perform tasks that may involve occasional manual **lifting**.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA).
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse **logistics** and material handling procedures.
- Excellent **Safety** record and awareness.
- Ability to perform **lifting** and other physical tasks as required.
- Must be able to wear required **PPE**, including safety shoes and vest.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
