Are you detail-oriented and organized? We are seeking an Inventory Control Specialist for our Richmond, Virginia distribution center. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory. Your duties will include conducting regular cycle counts, investigating inventory discrepancies, implementing inventory control procedures, and assisting with audits. You will work closely with warehouse staff to ensure proper stock rotation, storage, and handling of goods. A strong understanding of inventory management systems and warehouse logistics is essential. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills, a meticulous approach to data entry, and a commitment to upholding safety standards. This role may involve some physical activity, including occasional Lifting of inventory items. Proper use of PPE , as dictated by specific tasks and company policy, is required. This is a key position that ensures the efficiency of our operations and customer satisfaction. We are looking for a proactive individual who can identify and resolve inventory issues effectively. Responsibilities:
- Perform cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and report potential shortages.
- Assist with receiving and shipping processes as needed.
- Ensure proper organization and storage of inventory.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, including the correct use of PPE .
- Generate inventory reports and provide analysis.
