We are looking for a diligent Order Picker to join our bustling warehouse in Chicago, Illinois. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving products from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role requires speed, accuracy, and a strong commitment to safety. You will utilize hand-held scanners and other equipment to locate and collect items efficiently. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using a pick list or RF scanner.
- Locate and retrieve products from designated warehouse locations.
- Verify that the correct items and quantities have been picked for each order.
- Stage picked items in the designated area for packing and shipping.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks as needed.
- Adhere to all company safety guidelines and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Meet or exceed productivity targets for order picking.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including prolonged standing, walking, and frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and item numbers.
- Familiarity with RF scanning equipment is a plus.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Understanding and adherence to warehouse safety rules and the use of PPE.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
