Seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist for our Chicago, Illinois facility. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring the efficiency of our warehouse operations. Your expertise will be crucial in minimizing discrepancies, optimizing stock levels, and supporting our overall logistics strategy. This position demands a sharp eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a deep understanding of warehouse inventory management principles. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory data in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Monitor stock levels and report on inventory status.
- Implement and improve inventory control procedures.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of inventory.
- Coordinate with operations and logistics teams to ensure product availability.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist in the training of other team members on inventory procedures.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar role.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate Lifting.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain management.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
