As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from inventory and preparing them for shipment. This role is fundamental to our **logistics** operations, ensuring that our customers receive their orders correctly and on time. Key responsibilities include reading order slips, locating products in the warehouse, picking the correct quantities, and carefully packing items to prevent damage during transit. You will also be involved in maintaining inventory accuracy and contributing to a clean and organized work environment. A strong emphasis will be placed on **safety** protocols, including the correct use of **PPE** and safe **lifting** techniques. This is a physically demanding role that requires stamina and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order tickets.
- Inspect items for damage before packing.
- Pack items securely using appropriate materials to ensure safe transit.
- Label packages correctly for shipping.
- Operate scanning equipment to update inventory records.
- Maintain high levels of accuracy in picking and packing.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment.
- Adhere strictly to all **safety** guidelines and **PPE** requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Contribute to efficient **logistics** flow.
- Practice safe **lifting** techniques when handling packages.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous picking and packing experience is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand order forms and product labels.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions.
- Capability of **lifting** up to 35 lbs frequently.
- Understanding of **safety** procedures and willingness to wear **PPE**.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with basic **logistics** principles is beneficial.
