We are hiring an experienced Forklift Operator for our busy logistics facility in Huntsville, Alabama. The ideal candidate will be proficient in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up) to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and accurately.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Follow all safety guidelines and regulations for warehouse operations.
- Participate in inventory counts and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of goods to prevent damage.
- Wear required PPE at all times, including safety shoes and high-visibility vests.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 75 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and logistics operations.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
