Are you a skilled and safety-conscious individual with forklift experience? Our bustling warehouse in Indianapolis, Indiana, is hiring a Forklift Operator to join our operations. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our facility. Your expertise will ensure that inventory is handled correctly, contributing to the overall productivity and success of our logistics operations. We are committed to maintaining a secure and productive work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, load, unload, and stack materials.
- Inspect equipment before and after each shift, reporting any issues immediately.
- Safely transport goods between different areas of the warehouse.
- Assist with order picking, packing, and staging as needed.
- Perform routine checks on inventory levels and assist with inventory counts.
- Follow all safety regulations, including proper use of PPE and warehouse safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, contributing to a safe environment.
- Be comfortable with lifting items up to 50 pounds when not operating machinery.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or proven experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Demonstrated understanding of warehouse safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including some lifting.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safe operation.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
