We have an exciting opening for a Shipping Clerk in Austin, Texas! This role is integral to our logistics operations, ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and on time. You will be responsible for preparing shipping labels, verifying order details, packing items securely, and coordinating with carriers for pickup. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are critical for success in this position. Safety is a core value in our workplace, and adherence to all Safety procedures and the correct use of PPE, such as gloves and safety glasses, is mandatory. Responsibilities:
- Generate and apply shipping labels and documentation.
- Verify order accuracy and prepare items for shipment.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently according to company standards.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and logs.
- Ensure the shipping area is clean, organized, and safe.
- Adhere to all Safety protocols and wear designated PPE.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping or a related logistics role preferred.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and carrier portals.
- Ability to perform occasional light Lifting (up to 25 lbs).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and PPE usage.
