This crucial role focuses on maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and optimal levels of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for implementing and refining inventory control procedures, conducting regular audits, and analyzing inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Your expertise will help minimize stockouts, reduce overstock, and improve the overall efficiency of our supply chain. Key duties include performing cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, managing stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO), and ensuring the proper organization and labeling of inventory. A thorough understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software is essential. You will work closely with the warehouse and logistics teams to ensure seamless operations. A strong commitment to workplace safety is mandatory, including the diligent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to all safety protocols. The role may involve occasional lifting of materials. We seek individuals who are analytical, highly organized, and possess excellent problem-solving skills. Your contributions are vital to our ability to meet customer demand efficiently and cost-effectively. Responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing inventory control strategies
- Conducting regular cycle counts and physical inventories
- Investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies
- Managing stock rotation and preventing obsolescence
- Analyzing inventory data to optimize stock levels
- Working with WMS to ensure data accuracy
- Training warehouse staff on inventory procedures
- Ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and using PPE
- Reporting on inventory accuracy and performance metrics
