Our logistics operation in Las Vegas, Nevada is looking for a meticulous Receiving Clerk to oversee the inbound flow of goods. This vital role ensures that all incoming shipments are accurately documented, inspected, and stored correctly. You will be the first point of contact for deliveries, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders and shipping manifests. Maintaining detailed records and coordinating with various departments are essential functions of this position. Your attention to detail will directly impact inventory accuracy and overall warehouse efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload deliveries from various carriers in a safe and efficient manner.
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, bills of lading, and other documentation.
- Inspect goods for damage, defects, or discrepancies and report any issues immediately.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
- Prepare goods for storage by labeling, bundling, or organizing as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, drivers, and internal departments regarding deliveries.
- Ensure the receiving area is clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Assist with inventory control procedures as needed.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Support the logistics team in maintaining efficient warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proven experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency with computers and inventory management software.
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and practices.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
