We are looking for a diligent Receiving Clerk for our warehouse in San Diego, California. This position is crucial for the initial stage of our supply chain, ensuring that all incoming goods are accurately received, inspected, and documented, forming the foundation of our Logistics operations. If you possess excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail, this role is for you. Your responsibilities will include unloading deliveries, verifying shipment contents against purchase orders, inspecting for damages, and preparing received goods for distribution within the warehouse. A strong commitment to Safety is paramount, and you will be required to use all designated PPE . This role offers a competitive hourly wage and the potential for growth within our company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks.
- Verify received items against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies and report findings.
- Accurately record received inventory into the warehouse management system.
- Organize and stage received goods for put-away.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Follow all company procedures and safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, inventory control, or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must adhere to all Safety policies and wear required PPE .
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse software are beneficial.
- Understanding of warehouse Logistics is a plus.
