Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our logistics team in Cincinnati, Ohio. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your duties will include conducting regular cycle counts, investigating and resolving discrepancies, managing stock levels, and ensuring that all inventory movements are accurately recorded. This position requires a sharp analytical mind, strong organizational skills, and a thorough understanding of inventory control principles within a fast-paced logistics environment. You will work closely with warehouse staff and management to optimize inventory processes and minimize errors. Maintaining a safe work environment is paramount, and adherence to all safety regulations, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. Your contribution is key to ensuring efficient order fulfillment and accurate financial reporting. While the role is primarily focused on data and analysis, you must also be comfortable in a warehouse setting and possess the physical ability for tasks that may involve lifting up to 30 lbs occasionally. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is essential. We value accuracy, efficiency, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards in inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies promptly and accurately.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Monitor stock levels and identify potential shortages or overages.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and policies.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to ensure efficient material flow and storage.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of all inventory items.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and the proper use of PPE.
  • Assist with training warehouse staff on inventory-related processes.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or a similar role within logistics or warehousing.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to interpret data and generate reports.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations and safety procedures, including PPE.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
