Become an integral part of our logistics team in Washington, D.C. as an Order Picker! We are seeking dedicated and efficient individuals to accurately fulfill customer orders. Your primary responsibility will be to locate and retrieve items from our warehouse shelves, ensuring the correct products and quantities are selected for shipment. This role is crucial for maintaining customer satisfaction and the smooth operation of our distribution center. A focus on accuracy, speed, and safety is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse inventory based on order specifications (paper or digital).
- Verify product information, quantities, and condition before staging for packing.
- Use warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks, safely to transport items.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily picking and shipping goals.
- Report any discrepancies or issues encountered during the picking process to supervisors.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations.
- Prior experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is highly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists and product labels accurately.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 45 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Willingness to adhere to all safety regulations and wear required PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual attendance is required.
