Join our growing team in St. Louis, Missouri, as a Forklift Operator! We are looking for a dedicated professional to ensure the smooth flow of materials within our state-of-the-art distribution center. This role is crucial to our Logistics operations, involving the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to handle a variety of goods. You will be responsible for loading and unloading shipments, organizing inventory, and maintaining a safe working environment. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, a strong commitment to Safety , and the physical capability to perform tasks requiring significant Lifting . We provide all necessary PPE and ongoing safety training to ensure our team members are well-equipped for success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Receive and put away incoming inventory, ensuring accurate placement and stock rotation.
- Pick and stage outgoing orders, verifying correct items and quantities.
- Load and unload delivery trucks, paying close attention to weight distribution and securing of loads.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any defects or needed repairs.
- Adhere strictly to all company and OSHA Safety guidelines, including the consistent use of required PPE .
- Maintain an organized and clean work area, contributing to overall warehouse efficiency.
- Participate in inventory counts and cycle counting activities.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as directed by supervisors.
- Comfortable with frequent Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Certification to operate forklifts is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of warehouse procedures and inventory management systems.
- Commitment to following all Safety procedures and wearing appropriate PPE at all times.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks involving frequent movement and Lifting .
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Experience in a high-volume Logistics environment is preferred.
