We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and heavy equipment. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for ensuring that all vehicles and equipment are operating efficiently and safely.
*Responsibilities*
* Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including but not limited to transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, and suspension systems.
* Diagnose mechanical issues using automotive diagnostics tools and schematics.
* Conduct repairs on various types of heavy equipment such as excavators, machinery, and trucks
* Utilize hand tools, power tools, for repairs.
* Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
* Preform Shop and Field Repairs in various environments, make Service Calls and Emergency Repairs as needed.
* Perform Preventable Maintenance, Tires, Belts, Hoses, Oil Changes and Safety Inspections
* Communicate Clearly with Supervisor Regrading Repairs and Timelines
*Experience*
* Previous experience as a Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role is preferred
* Must Possess Clean Valid Driver's License
* Familiarity with heavy equipment operation and maintenance practices is essential.
* Proficiency in automotive repair techniques and knowledge of Occupational and Enviromental Hazards, ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions
* Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during repairs and maintenance tasks.
* Must be able to perform all job functions which may include but are not limited to
* walking, sitting, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, turning, balance.
* While preforming job duties must be able to hear and speak with other employees in order to communicate while maintaining safety
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
