Contract length: 6 months (Initially). Location: Bristol (Hybrid 2-3 days a week). iO Associates is supporting a data-driven organisation that's looking for a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer to join them during a key delivery phase. This is a hands-on contract role, ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with engineers building Node.js applications in a high-volume data environment. Title: AWS DevOps Engineer Rate: Up to £400 Per day (Outside IR35) Contract length: 6 months (Initially) Location: Bristol (Hybrid 2-3 days a week) The Role
You'll take ownership of AWS infrastructure and DevOps practices, supporting Node-based services that process and move large volumes of data. The focus is on automation, reliability, scalability, and enabling development teams to deliver quickly and safely. What You'll Be Doing
Designing, building, and maintaining AWS infrastructure using IaC (Terraform / CloudFormation) Supporting and optimising CI/CD pipelines for Node.js services Enabling data-heavy workloads with scalable, resilient cloud architecture Managing containerised environments (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS) Improving monitoring, logging, and alerting across data platforms Working closely with Node developers to streamline deployments and environments Embedding security, cost optimisation, and reliability best practices What I’m Looking For
Strong experience as a Senior DevOps Engineer in AWS environments Hands-on Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform preferred) Solid CI/CD and automation background Experience supporting Node.js applications in production Exposure to data-intensive or high-throughput systems Comfortable operating autonomously in a contract role Our client is looking at this role with urgency and will conduct interviews this week.
