We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive therapy services to diverse patient populations, including pediatrics, geriatrics, and individuals with disabilities. This role involves developing personalized care plans, assisting patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), and supporting discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions from various care settings. The Occupational Therapist will work in settings such as inpatient hospitals, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, home health environments, and schools, contributing to improved patient outcomes through expert therapy interventions.
*Responsibilities*
* Assess patients' functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their needs.
* Assist patients with ADLs and IADLs to promote independence and improve quality of life.
* Implement therapeutic interventions across multiple settings including inpatient, outpatient, home health, early intervention, and school environments.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and discharge planning effectively.
* Manage case documentation accurately, including progress notes and treatment summaries.
* Educate patients and caregivers on therapy techniques, adaptive equipment use, and safety measures.
* Support patients with diverse conditions such as autism spectrum disorder, post-acute care needs, geriatrics, and those requiring occupational health services.
* Stay current with developments in physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and therapy best practices to ensure high-quality care delivery.
* Participate in ongoing professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge base.
*Requirements*
* Valid occupational therapy license in the state of practice.
* Proven experience working with people with disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, geriatrics, pediatrics, or in acute care settings such as ICU or skilled nursing facilities.
* Knowledge of care plans, case management processes, and discharge planning procedures.
* Familiarity with medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and speech therapy concepts is preferred.
* Experience in inpatient, outpatient, home health, school-based programs or clinic environments is highly desirable.
* Strong interpersonal skills for working effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
* Flexibility to adapt to various clinical settings and patient needs. Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
