Overview
Ashford Speech and Advocacy P.C. is an SLP-owned private practice based in Vista, CA. Colleen Ashford, the owner, is looking for her first hire to help expand the practice and serve more families in North San Diego County
In-home Speech-Language Therapy for children ages 0–3 years. The right candidate will be able to work a minimum of 6 sessions per week, with at least 3 sessions between 4–6 pm. This caseload will be built up over the period of 4-5 weeks.
The right candidate will be comfortable conducting all evaluations and therapy in family homes of all kinds, believe in the mission of early-intervention to reach all children who require therapeutic services regardless of income, family immigration status, or other factors, and understand their critical role in breaking down barriers to access by providing Regional-Center-funded in-home therapy.
Ashford Speech and Advocacy P.C. serves many Spanish-speaking families; bilingualism is preferred but not required. SLPs will engage in company-paid continuing education on diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility.

Duties
- Conduct speech and language assessments.
- Write SMART goals based on assessment results.
- Provide early intervention services to children with a variety of diagnoses and/or delays.
- Collaborate with parents to support progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation in Simple Practice.
Skills
- Experience with pediatric populations.
- Ability to explain evaluation results in parent-friendly terms.
- Skill in routine-based and play-based early intervention strategies.
- Willingness to grow in parent-coaching skills.

- California SLP Licensure (RPE okay)
