Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Front Counter Sales Associate to join our retail team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing sales transactions, and assisting customers with product selections. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, experience with retail sales, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual abilities are a plus to better serve diverse customer needs. Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs at the front counter
  • Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
  • Conduct product demos and upsell items to maximize sales opportunities
  • Manage stock levels by stocking shelves and merchandising displays effectively
  • Handle cashier duties including cash handling, basic math calculations, and balancing registers
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
  • Maintain a clean and organized checkout area to ensure a welcoming environment
  • Assist with inventory management tasks such as stocking and merchandising products
  • Communicate clearly with team members to ensure smooth store operations
  • Promote store promotions and new products through engaging communication

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred
  • Strong POS system knowledge and cashiering skills
  • Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening
  • Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions and inventory counts
  • Demonstrated upselling skills to enhance sales performance
  • Supervising experience is a plus for leadership opportunities within the team
  • Bilingual abilities are desirable to serve a diverse customer base effectively
  • Basic math skills necessary for handling cash transactions and balancing registers
  • Customer service orientation with a friendly, professional demeanor
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in a busy retail setting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $22.00 per hour
