Overview
We are seeking Academic Enrichment Coordinators to join CMNTY Academy's Afterschool team.

In this role, you will build influential relationships with kids ages 3-13 and facilitate one-on-one and small group math and reading activities that encourage personal growth and positive group engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop academic enrichment activities for grades Pre-K through 8th.
  • Plan enrichment activities in advance to be carried out across 5 days.
  • Work 4-5 days a week for the 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM shift or 3:30 PM - 5:00 PM shift
  • Lead 50-minute academic enrichment sessions and activities.
  • Lead activities with 1-8 students.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify student needs and tailor support initiatives accordingly.
  • Maintain detailed records of student interactions, feedback, and progress to inform program improvements.
  • Promote a welcoming environment that encourages open dialogue, feedback, and active participation from students.

In this role, you will report to a Program Manager and work alongside movement and SEL coordinators as you deliver academic enrichment programming. The center is open Monday through Friday, and your shift would be 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm. You will have the option of working 4 or 5 days a week.

Requirements

  • Actively lead programming with children, which requires standing and continuous movement.
  • Certification or completed coursework in education or early childhood development.
  • Experience working with students in an academic developmental environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and effectively communicate complex information clearly.
  • Proven organizational skills with attention to detail in record-keeping and follow-up procedures.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Passion for supporting student success.
