Dispatcher

Job Summary

Rental Works is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Dispatcher to join our growing team. This role is a critical hub of daily operations, responsible for coordinating the safe and efficient delivery and pickup of rental equipment, managing driver schedules and routes, and serving as a key point of communication between customers, drivers, sales, and operations.

The Dispatcher plays an active role in ensuring smooth branch operations in a fast-paced environment while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule daily equipment deliveries and pickups
• Optimize driver routes to maximize truck utilization and efficiency
• Communicate clearly with drivers regarding schedules, job site details, and equipment requirements
• Serve as a primary point of contact for customers regarding delivery status, scheduling changes, and general inquiries
• Work closely with sales and operations teams to support customer needs and resolve issues
• Troubleshoot delivery delays, equipment availability challenges, and last-minute schedule changes
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, jobsite information, and dispatch records
• Support walk-in customers and incoming phone calls as part of the inside sales and customer service team
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, DOT regulations, and company procedures

Qualifications & Skills

• Prior experience in dispatch, logistics, equipment rental, construction, or transportation preferred
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High attention to detail and follow-through
• Ability to remain calm and solution-oriented under pressure
• Comfortable working collaboratively with drivers, customers, sales, and management
• Computer proficiency; rental software or logistics systems experience is a plus

Pay: $ $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 45.0 per week
