Position Overview:
The Staff Development Coordinator plans and manages staff education programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Report to the Director of Nursing Services and Administrator.
  • Lead, evaluate, and supervise resident care; initiate corrective actions as needed.
  • Develop and implement annual educational schedules, approved by the Administrator and DNS.
  • Disseminate monthly educational program calendars promptly.
  • Maintain records of classes, attendance, and performance.
  • Ensure ongoing education for all staff and update education profiles.
  • Submit education programs to DPH as required.
  • Conduct orientation for new hires; collaborate on educational needs.
  • Uphold customer service standards.
  • Handle additional duties such as Quality Assurance.

Working Conditions:

  • Operate in office and facility environments.
  • Engage physically throughout the workday.
  • Available beyond normal hours, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements:

  • Education: Registered Nurse (RN) in Massachusetts.
  • Experience: At least one year of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Skills:

  • Proficient in English (written/spoken).

  • Decision-making and leadership skills.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledgeable in nursing practices and regulations.
  • Ability to plan, develop, and interpret programs and policies.
  • Continuously engage in education and training.

Physical Requirements:

  • Capable of movement and handling stress.
  • Effective interaction with all stakeholders.
