About The Role
As a Staff Software Engineer at Maven Clinic, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our AI/ML Platform, focusing on personalization and recommendation systems that enhance user experience and clinical support. You will lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, high-performance, and reliable systems that support Maven's growing digital health ecosystem. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, data scientists, and other engineering disciplines, you will ensure the delivery of innovative features that align with Maven's standards for quality and efficacy. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving technical vision, mentoring engineering talent, and evaluating emerging technologies to keep Maven at the forefront of AI/ML innovation in healthcare. This role offers an exciting opportunity to impact millions of users by advancing personalized healthcare solutions through cutting-edge technology.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in backend development, platform architecture, and ML/AI product development.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing highly scalable, performant, and reliable systems using modern technologies.
  • Extensive experience with data-intensive applications, end-to-end ML/AI product lifecycle, including data processing, feature engineering, and model deployment.
  • Strong knowledge of ML/AI frameworks, infrastructure, and cloud platforms, with a focus on efficiency and scalability.
  • Hands-on experience designing distributed systems, microservices architecture, containerization, and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages, including Python, Go, Java, or similar.
  • Proven ability to lead technical discussions, guide best practices, and mentor engineering teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and a track record of delivering high-quality code and models in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to stay current with emerging ML/AI trends and incorporate innovative solutions into product development.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and ongoing maintenance of ML/AI platforms and related products.
  • Propose and implement cloud-based solutions to ensure system agility, scalability, and robustness.
  • Drive technical design discussions, establishing best practices, coding standards, and architectural principles.
  • Collaborate with product, data science, and engineering teams to develop new features and improve existing systems.
  • Mentor and coach mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and trends to incorporate innovative approaches into Maven's platform.
  • Ensure the deployment, monitoring, and optimization of machine learning models in cloud environments.
  • Contribute to the development of scalable data pipelines, feature engineering processes, and model evaluation methodologies.
