Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate project estimates, analyzing project specifications, and collaborating with clients and internal teams to ensure competitive pricing and successful project execution. This role requires strong skills in construction estimating, project management, and negotiation, with proficiency in industry-standard tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid. The Estimator will play a critical role in securing new projects and maintaining profitable operations.

Duties

  • Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and project scope.
  • Utilize Bluebeam and HeavyBid software to develop accurate pricing models and bid proposals.
  • Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to gather necessary information and refine estimates.
  • Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and pricing analysis for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services.
  • Negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive yet profitable bids.
  • Review project plans and specifications to identify potential risks or cost-saving opportunities.
  • Assist in the development of project schedules and manage estimation timelines effectively.
  • Maintain organized records of all estimates, bid documents, and correspondence related to projects.
  • Support project management teams during the bidding process and throughout project execution as needed.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in construction estimating, with a strong understanding of construction processes and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu, HeavyBid, and other estimating or project management software.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms while maintaining good relationships with vendors and clients.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate quantity take-offs and cost calculations.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Knowledge of construction safety standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required. Pay: $56, $68,584.13 per year
